Color appearance models are very useful for imaging technology industries. Imaging industries need a good color appearance model to be applied for color reproduction system for among different imaging devices and for the different viewing conditions, and also for color management systems. At the CIE Kyoto Meeting in last year, CIE Technical Committee TC1-34 proposed the simple version of the CIE 1997 Interim Color Appearance Model, CIECAM97s. I am interested in the performance of the model. We have tested the performance of various color appearance models including the CIECAM97s using the ISO SICD images.
