If the original and the reproduction image are observed in a same viewing condition, colorimetric color reproduction is very useful and gives you same color appearance between the original and the reproduction. But, if the reproduction image is presented in the different media and in the different viewing condition from the original image, colorimetric reproduction gives you unsatisfied results. In this case, it needs a color-appearance reproduction.
